This range places the emphasis on fruit and on giving sheer pleasure to the taste buds. The wines come from fully matured vines cultivated with specifications that are environment and Earth friendly. These are accessible wines, created to provide thirst-quenching freshness and a vibrant fruitiness, without sacrificing elegance and an agreeable complexity.

Peyrassol Cuvée des Commandeurs Rosé – AOP Côtes de Provence

Cinsault, Syrah and Grenache make a balanced trio full of fruity flavours, nicely sharpened with a touch of Mourvèdre.

Vinification and aging

Harvested separately during the night when temperatures are coolest, the grapes are then de-stemmed and pressed. After fermentation they are aged in stainless steel vats.

Tasting

Its rosy appearance is soft as a dream, and an expressive, gourmet nose lends charm to this blend dominated by wild berries: gooseberry and raspberry reveal themselves in a crisp, silky palate enhanced with an elegant touch of minerality.
Ideal as an aperitif, to accompany tapas, but also goes well with all varieties of grilled fish, beef or fish tartare and fresh berry desserts.

Peyrassol Cuvée des Commandeurs White – AOP Côtes de Provence

Rolle, Semillon and Ugni Blanc combine to create a light, lively wine with delicate fruit.

Vinification and aging

After manual and mechanical picking, each variety is vinified separately following a careful selection process. Controlled-temperature fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats. The wine is then aged for 6 months, again in stainless steel vats, before bottling.

Tasting

With its pale straw colour, it opens with a distinctly gourmet nose of well-ripened yellow fruits heightened with fine spicy notes. The palate perfectly matches the nose: well-balanced, leaving an impression of freshness and cleanness.
This perfect aperitif wine goes well with tapas, grilled fish, seafood pasta and all kinds of shellfish.

Peyrassol Cuvée des Commandeurs Red – AOP Côtes de Provence

Fully matured vines which provides grapes for this light, fruity blend. It has a slight predominance of Syrah, which provides the floral, peppery notes, while Cabernet Sauvignon adds body.

Vinification and aging

Gathered by hand and vinified separately, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon are de-stemmed and crushed. They are vinified in the traditional way, with two weeks’ fermentation, then aged for 12 months in stainless steel vats.

Tasting

With a fine purple colour, this blend immediately reveals the presence of Syrah, which dominates the nose with aromas of red fruits, rose and white pepper. The palate has a fine structure built on ripe, velvety tannins. Robust and fruity, it boasts a lightly spiced flavour with a fine peppery finish.
Ready to drink as soon as it is bottled, it makes a fine accompaniment to grilled dishes, beef carpaccio in olive oil, veal sauté or stuffed Mediterranean vegetables.
